Topic Dog Boards / Behaviour / Labrador in season

My Lab bitch is 8 months old. I was sure she had her first season at 7 months, with the bleeding and the peeing.
Is it normal for her to go into season again, 1 month later? She has started bleeding again. My book on Lab behaviour
is very vague. Anyone know a good book?

hiya, someone else will be along shortly with more experience in labs, but from my experience as a dog owner, i have always known when my girls were in season, my rottie girl came into her first season at around 6 months and she was such a beginner there was blood everywhere on the floors! but i think maybe your girl may still be in season if you suspect it, thats the only explanation i can think of, but as i say someone with a bit more knowledge will be along soon hopefully, but i have never had a girl come back into season after a month, i hope someone can point you n the right direction.

Maybe she has had a split season? Keep an eye on her and if she appears unwell or if you're at all worried, nip her to the Vets for a check over. HTH's
