>By FooFoo   Date 22.04.08 23:06 GMT I am sorry to hear you are having a crap time, we have all been there however in different circumstances.  I only speak as someone who has recovered from a nervous breakdown, anxiety and severe depression ( I am lucky to still be here if you catch my drift).  I am 32, bet your wondering how someone my age got into such a mess?  Wel it wasnt a man it was work!  Long story so wont go there.
I am currently 5 stone heavier than I was in 2001 and 4 dress sizes larger.  Only in the last month have I felt better.  I have joined Slimming World, lost 6.5 lb in 2 weeks.

I have been off work 4 months but feel ready to go back, I understand you cant work due to a health problem.  This is a difficult one but have you thought about doing a course from home to keep you busy and occupied?  Dont dwell on the hospiutal mistakes it will only make you worse, our countrynin riddled with inefficiency so this is bound to happen, dont take it to heart.  There are lots of courses available to those on income support, you should be able to get help with the fees.  It would give you something to focus on and if you choose a topic you enjoy you will love it.

It is very hard when relationships break down but this is part of life, learn to love yourself, learn to be independant and dont rely on men for anything, always have something to fall back on as the only person you can rely on is yourself.  Have you thought about moving closer to your friends and family?

I'm surprised that a journalist should forget, so soon, what she posted less than two months ago!

See locked thread on Weight Loss ;)

Remember FooFoo's rudeness on this thread to the weight-watchers among us?
- By Freds Mum [gb] Date 12.06.08 09:03 UTC
I dont get it......

Foofoo says  "People who are obese eat too much and do not exercise enough." in one post and goes on to insult anyone who is overweight.  Then says in a post 2 months ago how she is struggling with her own weight !!

very strange.

Noted but she obviously has problems and was ranting to let off steam and we junoesque ladies came in for some stick..  You know if we were around in Leonardo's time we would be ideally shaped.

Think if there is one thing I have learned over the last 70 odd years is that you should never criticise others for not managing their lives, weight, personal relationships well or at all; because it is the nature of things that criticisms made by the self righteous in a fit of zeal or peak will turn round and bite back and then you not only have the problem, that you are sure no one else has suffered, but also egg on the face.

having now read she suffers with severe depression (which will not magically disapear, it's a condition that the sufferer learns to live with) I think she has issues she needs to deal with.

We may be large but remember the Mika song....Big girls you are beautiful....and Queen...fat bottomed girls....there is the old saying....'I may be fat but you are ugly....I can diet......;) ;) :) :)

New thread on the weight loss is called for.....don't let the nasties get 'cha down.......

In resonse to Fredsmum , I think its because the original thread is locked and lokismum does not appear to want to let the subject rest :-)

Well, as I see it, Foo Foo's comments, which led to other comments, have lead to the closure of the weight loss thread, which is a shame because it was a lovely, funny, supportive, enthusiastic (SP) thread, that everyone big or small enjoyed and took part in.
She makes out fat people are lazy gluttons, yet she herself has said she has a weight problem, so I imagine the reason her old post has been brought back is to show the sides to her postings.
Now, either she does have emotional problems for which I would accept that maybe kicking out to get attention may be part of the illness, or she is a WUM....the two posts (one off the weight loss thread and the 2 month old one) being shown together, maybe if the post had not been locked this other post of Foo Foo would have been added to that, rather than making it look that an old post had been rehashed.

Hope that right Lokismum :)

Theres nothing worse then 2 faced people who say one thing and practise another..the one they were slagging off!!
Its great that we pull together on here to help each other in times of need, sadness and happiness, such a shame that someone would want to stop that by being just down right rude and saying things that are completely untrue, people can be overweight for so many reasons to assume they all just over eat and dont exercise is just plain horrible.

Maybe I am being really thick today, but I don't see the relevance???

1st post - FooFoo says she has had all sorts of problems due to problems at work

2nd post - she starts by saying she has been off work for 4 months,

Where's the contradiction and does it matter anyway, she is giving good advice.

What is going on here, and why try to belittle someone like this????

Though I can't see what you are trying to point out.
- By Carrington Date 12.06.08 12:12 UTC
Now I see the relevance, it is to do with the diet post (which I did not read) wasn't very clear for those of us who did not read it, as to the hypocracy. Comprende.
