I have two dogs, one 2 year old border collie and one 12 year old collie cross.

I was just wondering if anyone had any thoughts regarding Vetzyme once a day conditioner tablets, the reason I ask is that I have looking at whether to start giving these to my 12 year old as she is getting older.

She is currently fed on a W/D Prescription diet as she has had struvite crystals on the past.  She already has Arthi aid as well for her arthritis which works really well.

Any information would be hugely appreciated as to whether this is beneficial or whether her complete diet is enough.

Many thanks

I give them to my girls when they lose their coats after litters and during whelping however generally I dont even to the oldies.  Could you not switch her to a diet for older dogs if you are worried?

I have a tub of Vetzyme, once a day supplements in but one of my Cavaliers hates them. They only need half a tab each but Harvey froths at the mouth and then does a runner when I get them out........he reacts exactly the same with Drontal but luckily Drontal isn't given every day. I haven't given them lon enough to notice any difference in condition. I know of a lady who swears by Petabs - she's a retired vet and highly recommends them.

Thanks for the information, she has to stay on this diet now and touch wood we have had no repeat of bladder stones and she does seem well on this diet.
