My mums bitch is on day 60 from mating and she is very restless and temperature has gone from 38.1/37.8 and then this afternoon dropped to 36.6, she is small breed and has been scanned at 28 days and was told they could see a something but was unsure and to come back in a week. when they took her back they said she was defiantly not pregnant, but she has been shown the signs of being pregnant and  her rib cage has become really wide and she is looking a odd shape i was just wondering if on the second scan they could of been behind the rib cage and not be seen. She has been shaking on and off today and digging at her box a little but not a lot compared to the other 2 bitches that have whelped before and slightly off her food also she seems to be whining for no reason as well.

just wondered what you all thought as i think she is pregnant but vets says no ?

Time will tell.  some bitches that are having a phantom can actually think they are whelping, but I would keep an eye and assume she is in labour from those signs.  At this point hertbeats shodulb e easy to pick up, so a trip to the Vets may be enlightening.
