Can anyone give any advice if it is possible to prevent staining as in around eyes, beard etc either by diet or use of a dog product. If you start off from a puppy is prevention better than trying to 'cure ' it later. If so what do Cd people recommend

Have you tried speaking to the guy at Hub international?  He gave me something the other day and it was brilliant and is already working but I cant think what it is called.

I know a lot of people have success with diamond eye.

I did have some 'Banish' from Doreen Paige - it worked well and is totally natural.
I didn't fancy putting anything in my dogs food or altering his pH or anything like that.

As he's got older though they have vanished on their own but I have no idea why.

Some of the products that could be used in this country now can't due to their ingredients and they are often stopped by Customs.
