Topic Dog Boards / Health / Which Vaccs would you do?

Am looking at prices of Puppy vaccs and amazed at the prices locally!

a.  £31.31 x2  £62.62  - 2 vaccs, free health check, microchip, worming, monthly check with nurse

b. £71.38  - 2 vaccs   "Distemper, Hepatitis, Lepto, Parvo, and something with a complicated name"  Reception's words - not mine ;)

c. £32 (£16+£16)  - 2 vaccs (not KC)     OR   £64.99  2x Vaccs + KC, Microchip, 6 weeks ins, Flea, Worm, 4 monthly nurse checks.

Thought the health check was mandatory before vaccination anyway?  and what on earth would I need to take my pup to see the nurse every month for???   Bear in mind I almost lost a dog after he caught Parvo after a failed vacc visit to the vet, so I prefer to only go to vets if REALLY necessary! :(  (long story)

pup is Tattoed, wormed, has never had fleas!  not sure I'd want a microchip put in so young anyway.

Very healthy prices for one of the most deprived areas in Wales (and possibly Britain) - only place more deprived is Merthyr Tydfil!

Thats so typical of vets nowadays!!

I had just the vaccines (I had the microchip done seperately) and then when they were a bit older I had the kennel cough done as  use kennels that insist on it. If I lived in an area where kennel cough was a problem I would have got it done earlier but probably not all at the same time.

They should do a health check before administering any vaccines!!

I have to say my old vets liked you to come in frequently for worming etc...... wonder why that was $$$$$$$$$$$
