i have just been told that a friend of mine is going to collect a pug pup today, they have told her that its crossed with a jack because thats how you make a pug,#

correct me if am wrong but i thought it would be two pugs like normal

Nope crossing anything with anything else gets you a crossbreed, mating two of the same breed gets you that breed.  the quality of either set of pups depends on the traits of the parents, for health temperament and physical attributes.

If this is what the breeder is actually saying and advertising, he/she needs to be reported to trading standards.

Well as JR in themselves are not a breed then it is not a cross breed it is a full-blown mongrel, for a £1000, has your friend no sense? Reckon they will have paid at least 3 noughts too many and £70 would be nearer the mark after all you can get the same thing from a rescue centre for that and it will be injected and spayed for that as well.

ermmm well all i can say is DUHHHH dont want to be nasty here but really how daft can you be i would of walked away laughing after telling her where to shove her mongrel as lovely as the puppy may be £1000 come on thats more than some pure breeds are if she wanted a cross you can get one from a rescue center for £60 ish
