Can you tell the difference between male/female feotus heartbeats.  I was told one is faster than the other.  any ideas.

Some years ago my midwife had this theory when i was expecting my first son, she told me it was a boy (although i was convinced he was a girl) needless to say she was right!!! was this co-incidence i don't know it would be interesting to know if anyone has conducted research on this.

I'm not sure which is the fastest/slowest, but I have been told twice what I'm having by this method, both times correctly, and my daughter has just had a baby and her midwife told her consistently from about 4 months that she was having a girl, she was right! So yes I definitely think there is something in it. :-D
Although my friend is training to be a midwife and her mentor thinks it is a load of rubbish.

Have used a stethoscope    First time, there was one heartbeat different to the other 3 - bitch went on to deliver one bitch and 3 dogs.   Second time, 4 heartbeats, 2 faster 2 slower, bitch had 2 dogs and 2 bitches.  Can't remember which is the faster or slower tho ???  seems quite accurate to me ;)
