Hi all, I am just wondering if anyone can help me with a college assignment.
It won't take a second, all I'm after is what brand(s) (or types if you do it yourself) of food you give your dogs (including life stages - senior, puppy etc), what breed(s) your dogs are and any behavioural issues they have. It doesn't matter if you don't think the issues are related to the food, just write them all down.
Anyone willing to help please PM me your answers. It's all anonymous so don't worry, you won't be inundated with dodgy sales stuff LOL!
Thanks very much in advance for anyone who can help :-)
hi nikita,
love your signature ;)
i have two labs (one yellow-bitch 4.5yrs old, one chocolate-dog just gone 3), both are on Laughing Dog complete, normally with just some hot water, or sometimes i gp a thin gravy ot whack some butter in with the water. As for behavioural issues, She's got a think for strangers-very nervous and barks a lot at them (unless there's a treat on offer for a nice sit). She's nervous with loud noises, can sometimes be a bit weird about being left, and is very needy-always had to be around you when you're at home. His only quirk is he's not great with dogs, especially when they do the meet and great. If he does the meet and great, normally things are ok. He's very protective of me and Her i think-me more so. If a strange dog approaches, he's be a bit grumbly and stand offish, but if the strange dog approaches me, and he's not quite chilled, he'll normally have a good growl, and if no notice is taken, will snap at them. Aside of that, nothing!
not sure if that answers your questions!

Hi Nikita, I feed salters and was recommended this when my dog was having problems with recurring interdigital cysts. We were at the point after 2 ops in quick succession and a third planned to remove toe/s when I went down a different route.
We also used some products which did the trick but no way am I going back to what I fed before - and that was considered to be one of the better dried foods. My dog's aggression also eased off a bit when she was on salters food and rich tea biscuits as treats with noting else added but we have been a bit lax of late and the stroppiness seems to kick in when her diet isn't strict. She can still be a grumpy mare but it now seems to be in response to rude dogs rather than just generalised narkiness towards anything canine!
havent worked out how to pm yet so answers are as follows:
I feed Genesis Lamb & Rice to my two boys, 4 and 5 year olds, one a WSD and one a WSD x Springer. They have adult Natures Harvest in Kongs for their breakfast.
I then feed Arden Grange Puppy and Natures Harvest Puppy to my 14 week BC although she will probably be changed over to Genesis when she is old enough to go onto adult food.

Hi, I have 3 dogs, 4 year old Yorkshire Terrier x Jack Russell bitch, 3 year old Bichon dog and 6 month old Yorkshire Terrrier dog, all are fed Butchers all-meat loaf in jelly variety. The puppy had digestive problems with puppy foods and as a last resort discovered he was fine on Butchers but he has Vetzyme conditioning tablet too, not ideal I know but no choice. I'm very lucky as only the bitch has a 'behavioral issue' in that she doesn't really like big dogs especially males! She'll snap at them when we're out if they approach her, it can be a quite common thing for a little bitch to do though. Couldn't PM either! Good luck with the assignment X.

3 Rotties 2 1/2, 1 and 7 months are all fed on Trophy premium large breed.
Previously fed on Nutro large breed puppy food, and the eldest had a stint on Science diet JD (at £65 a 14kg sack) although she's now doing great on the trophy.
No behavioural issues, other than the 7month old male recently trying to become a bit big for his boots - Men!
They also get Evening primrose oil, fish oil, vit E and Glucosamine on a daily basis (except the vit e which is alternate days). Oh and a dollop of probiotic Yoghurt occassionally.
I feed my brood of Giant schnauzers and a small lurcher on Arden Grange. I did feed them on Burns but one wasn't keeping weight on and Arden Grange have a better deal for breeders which is needed for the quantities I go through!!!
Behaviour wise, nothing other than the breed norm of being wary of strangers (the number of people who assume they can just come over and touch your dogs without asking and then get a shock when told to back of by the dog!)
