Wishfull thinking. But you know what they say if you don't ask you don't get, reckon in this case they wont get anyway.
i just answered her and kindly said that she will be very lucky if anyone replies
i gave the weimaraner rescue addy and said if she want a weim so much she should invite them to come and see her and give a rescue dog a loving home
after they vetted her of course as they did with my friend years ago
i told her they make sure that they are suitable and will if they still want one get the right dog for them
wasnt being nasty i was just telling the truth

That's what I thought, don't think any responsible or irresponsible person would had over a pure bred puppy for nothing.
my opinion....place that starts with P and ends with M

Some people have some real cheek, what sort of dog would she get for free anyway from a random person? :(

If the advertiser doesn't want, or can't afford to pay for pup how does she expect to be able to afford the vets fees, food and all other expenses incurred.

Exactly li7nda!
I see a ridicuous amounts of ads for a freebie/cheap pup for my breed. Totally ludicrous! Even morons who breed for the sake of it wouldnt give a pup away. The only time I've ever heard of a freebie is when breeders are 'gifted' a dog due to illness/death on the owners part and then its usually another breeder.
People need to get their heads out of the clouds and stop wanting something for nothing.

When i got my rescue bitch at 6 months old , all i had to pay was the cost of spay , And i know rescue's might get it cheaper than the average pet owner would be charged , but i was not charged too much over the cost of a spay..

Thats shocking!
Especially as you say, they shouldve known better. It beggers belief what they thought the point of that was. And where was their waiting list? What a waste of life and of course all the bitches energy for nothing.
Makes my blood boil!
