Can't help with the gas, but is she still with her mother?  You haven't said and at 4 weeks old she is FAR too young to be by herself.

Edit: I didn't mean that to sound harsh sorry, was a genuine question!! :-)

She should be being weaned now and be on 4 very small meals per day of weaning porridge or puppy chum (easily available) or puppy dried food that is softened right down to a real soft porridge type consistency, followed by mums milk. Then increase the amounts very gradually and decrease mums milk so by 6 weeks she should be on 4 or 5 small meals per day and mum only once per day. Keep an eye on mums teats that they dont get too swollen.

And puppy should have been wormed once by now, get it from the Vets, which will help pups tum.

Did she have just one puppy? This is a start but you need to get a book called 'Book of the Bitch' and that will help you rear her.

agree with golden lady puppy should be weaning ...what are you feed her I would imagine whatever food you are feeding is giving her wind and doesnt agree with her tum , also what are you feeding mum as her milk could be affecting pup ?
