just wondered how all you folk out there cope with any smell from dog pss ?  I am not bad, its bitches that I have. We tend to poo n poo on our walks. when at home they pee on chippy stones. I use yardfresh and urineoff. A friend suggeted Daz Liquid, she uses it at her kennels. just wondered what the rest of you use?

Steam cleaner works wonders.  No chemicals etc. and for me does the job when my dogs may have a slight accident which is very rare.

thanks perrondeaqua, but was meaning in the garden not for accidents.

I don't have a problem with smells indoors or outdoors but have a very patchy lawn :) I have one lawn that is just for the dogs to play on etc to which they have unlimited access and a fenced off area where dogs are by invitation only :)

If it's cement etc. can still use the steam cleaner.

I think that i must have tried every disinfectant under the sun  , but i settled with Mistral, can't find anything better, for killing all the bacteria's ecoli , staph , parvo etc and deoderising, never smells of wee at ours and we have 10 dogs , large breeds, and also it comes in a range of smells, peardrop, vanilla, pine , bubblegum, cherry ( my favorite ) , pineapple, orange , and more that i can't remember and it's cheaper than most.
it's uses are limitless, it's for use in kennels , catterys , put in the laundry , clean the work tops even degreases my hob, i wash the dog bowls with a drop in , never had a days problem with it.
It's FAB

There is a certain amount of fats in dog waste so clean the yard with detergent and rinse then use yard kleen or one of the other kennel disinfectants. Or if you have a pressure cleaner or a steam cleaner that will do the job no chemical needed.

- By ali-t [gb] Date 25.05.08 18:16 UTC
I googled it out of nosyness and you can buy a 5l bottle for £6 which is a bargain.
- By tadog [gb] Date 25.05.08 19:59 UTC
where did you see it at £6?

Ali, I remember asking you if you had a Chow a few years back - looking at your signature I can now see that you have set the record straight as you are obviously peeved (to put it politely ;-)) with people asking LOL :-D

Anyway...onto the OP, mine can pee on the patio - I use Biological detergent and soda crystals and it totally eliminates the smell :-)

LOL @ hairypooch.  I'm not fussed about people asking but was politely asked by admin one day not to take threads off topic when I got into discussion with someone about me not having a chow but being called cheekychow.  Think it was another thread when someone referred to me as cheeky cow!  So, on the back of that I incorporated it into my sig.
