A nice story but not too sure about the dog sucking sweets cos he's only got 2 teeth left! If he's been feeding the dog sweets that's probably why he's got no teeth left with all the sugar! Cute dog though!

Mind you if he really is that old the sweets can't have been too bad for him :)

Bless, that is amazing.

Could not the vet be the proof of age, as Bella is still alive her records will still be current, surely Bella must be on record for her yearly booster, from when they first had her and the approx age at the first session would still be written down on her vet records, that should be traceable.

Even if now at a different vet would her records not have been transfered, I know when I changed vet they were.

The RSPCA are surely not the only proof.

But if they don't know where she was pre RSPCA then they wouldn't have any records would they?  They can only go back as far as when they adopted her.

Yeah, but at least the vet surgery could prove how old she was about etc so there would be a good idea of her age.

Even so it's an amazing age!

There was a dog at the vets I used to work at that was 22 and other than being a bit slower at walking and having a white face (rest of dog was black) it was in pretty good nick!

I was totally amazed at what good shape it was in!
