Topic Dog Boards / Breeding / VetBed...

Hi all,
My girl is due her pups in less than three weeks and i am just getting the last bits and bobs together so i am all ready. What is the best place to get vetbed from? I have some already that i got from ebay but it wasn't great quality and it is the non slip stuff. I wasn't sure about having the non slip stuff ontop of the heat pad (i've got a petnap vinyl one with a cover) as i worry about whether it's safe - when i had some of the vetbed in the car cage it had stuck to the tray on a hot day!!
Also i wondered whether i should put the heat pad on top of the vetbed?
Thank you for reading

I just ordered a 5m roll from fireinvestigationdog on ebay after seeing them recommended on here.  It should hopefully be here tomorrow so I will let you know what it is like.  I got the petnap heatmat too.

It wasn't real Vetbed if it stuck to the tray UNLESS a faulty batch.   I personally now only use the real stuff. Had all the various others, Profleece used to be good but had a couple bad batches from them that were so hard that I wouldn't use them for myself never mind the dogs.

I get mine from Bronteglen, the non-slip type, never had a problem when using heatpads with it, and it always washes up nice too.

About 20 years ago we always used the original Vetbed, then we found Profleece and we've never had a problem with it and it washes well.  Personally we wouldn't use bedding with non slip backing with a heat pad.  The heat pad should go under the bedding not on top.

Thank you for all of your replies. I've ordered some vetbed from bronteglen, so hopefully that will do the trick.

Petlife are the manufaturer of Vet bed. You can buy direct from them.
