I am currently playing on a few online bingo sites, mostly because i would KILL for a job as a CM/CH running their chat rooms. (Good pay.. work from home.. :D)
Some sites are really fun with nice Chat Mods/Chat Hosts who keep the chat friendly and nice and keep out baddies... some are rather poor with slow/clunky softwarea nd CM's who appear to do naf all..
Lots and LOTS of them offer 'free money' as an incentive to join up, but DO read the T&C first.. most of them are ok, but one or two I have come across are really mean... they give you £10 or so, on sign up. But... when you then win say £5... next time you buy tickets, it comes out of YOUR £5 winnings... rather than the free bingo bucks... tos pend the bingo bucks you have to spend all your winnings first. Totally above board but means you are extremely unlikely to win anything you can withdraw and put in your own bank. So far off top of my head, both astro and cyber bingo do this so do be aware of it. You cannot of course withdraw the bonus money they give you.
It most definately requires you to be totally in control of what you spend, most sites offer a limit of how much you can deposit a day or a week (so they can say they encourage responsible gambling). You do need to be aware of how much is 'yours' ie what you deposited, and how much is 'theirs' ie what they give you 'free'..
All the above said... it is entirely possible to win meaningful money, with very little cost to yourself... I won £450 quid this week (Gala Bingo), purely with their free money (i put in a tenner... they matched it... i spent around £10 of my then £20 balance, won the £450 and withdrew £460... my tenner plus the £450 winnings).
It is of course.. all luck - and the chat rooms are designed to keep you playing, with the CM's offering the chance a couple of times an hour to win quids/bingo points/bingo bucks, for answering quiz questions or getting lucky in various bingo related games.
Self control is most DEFINATELY required!!!!
