Hi, does anyone know if there are any nice beaches (dog friendly of course) on the east coast, up nr scarborough or somewhere?
We love taking the dogs to the beach and usually go to Formby near southport, beach is great but water is filthy and I dont like them going in it, someone told me the water is cleaner on the east coast, not sure if thats right

Are there any anyone can think of up on that coast?

Hi
Try Reighton Sands (Reighton Gap, Nr Filey). There is a Haven Caravan Site there that is very dog friendly (although we haven't been there for 2 years). The site offers direct access to a beautiful beach via a steep tarmac path. Even during busy school holiday periods, you only have to walk a short distance to have the beach virtually to yourselves.

I was going to suggest the same place otherwise known as Cayton Bay, it is a lovely beach there as long as you don't mind the climb back up!!

There is also the North Bay beach where dogs are allowed all year round. There is also a lovely pub on there that is very dog friendly and serves lovely bar snack meals. It is lovely there too as there is a sand beach and also rock pools for them to go exploring.

As well as the beaches round us we also have some beautiful countryside just made for walking dogs and also Dalby Forest and the North York moors. We are ideal dog walking country lol!!
