my girls temperature has decreased from 37.4 on Tuesday to 37 this morning at 11am, she had two slip matings before we got a tie, she then went on to tie 4 times over the
next 4 days. My dilema is that even though her temp is low she is still eating the only other change is that she is a bit quiet, if we go with her first slip then she is on day 61 and
if we go with her first tie she is on day 59. This is her second litter and with the first she was text book going into labour and produced 7 healthy pup's in 4 hours, would the
temp be as low if she is on day 59 or should we take her due date as the first slip?
I know with two my own girls two of them never go off their food. In fact one of mine at her food halfway through whelping and we thought she had finished let her down for a poo then she had one in the garden!
it seems a bit scary now it is getting close lol i have taken my girls temp today and it has dropped to 37.9 so we shall see if it continues to drop through out the day or if she is just playing games lol im getting really impatient all these births on here are making me puppy broody lol and i want my girl to get some much needed sleep

If your themometer is right and you are doing it right then they will be here before Tuesday. A temp than low 36.7 which is 98.06 for me would mean on their way. No ifs or buts at the latest monday.

A quick query regarding taking dogs temps. I used to have a 'proper' thermometer and was fine with it, but it got broken and we upgraded to a digital one, the trouble is they taper out so you can't insert it as far as a proper one, I am getting it about 3cm in before she starts getting uncomfortable, is this far enough? We have about 5 days to go and she has been around 37.4 - 37.2 but this afternoon was 37.8.

When I took my dogs temp, it was a digital I used. I put it in about an inch as you are and got good readings. So yes it's far enough!
