My 5 year old lab has lost his wag.

On Wed afternoon I gave him a bath, he was fine after that, he was playing and did some training etc but by Wed night, his tail was just hanging there like a limp lettuce and he was in obvious discomfort around his back end.  Took him to the Vet thinking he'd really hurt himself doing something but they could find no obvious damage and they gave anti inflammatory injection.

He has managed a bit of a wag today and when he did a wee he lifted his tail up.

I have just googled "limber tail" tho after reading about something similar and I am intrigued about it. 

Does it sound like it could be that? 

There is nothing worse than a lab without a wag.  Its heartbreaking :-(

I am convinced now! What a bizaare thing tho!

Doesn't just affect Labs either!  My male Staff suffered the same problem a couple of years ago after swimming in the sea.  He was Ok after a couple of days but it was really weird!

...and my Goldie experienced the same thing a while ago!

So is it just the muscles then - like us having whiplash??
