I am just curious to what supplements if any you add to your dogs food.

I like many of your feed a raw diet so on the days when I've not got any fruit or veg prepared I will give them a couple of scoops of Easy Green.  It also really helps out in this hot weather we're having.
I also give Keepers Mix on a daily basis, which I have found keeps their coats in wonderful condition.

I do hope that by feeding a raw diet that they are getting most of the goodness that they need and they certainly look well on it.

I would just be interested to see what the rest of you are doing.

Hi Rachel

I also feed raw and tend to add fish oil + vit e to all the dogs and give evening primrose oil to the 2 Dobes only. I also give Keeper's Mix (when I remember!). Other than that, as long as you are feeding a good variety of foods, they should be getting all they need.

What are Keepers Mix and Easy Green ?

Keepers Mix and Easy Green are herbal supplements made by Dorwest.
I use Keepers Mix and Kronch Salmon oil - all of my dogs have  have a mix of raw and Burns food. Who knows they may do well without supplements ..........
Not going to change just in case.

Always feed a fish oil capsule, sometimes Kelp powder and most of the time Vit E.

Hi Logan :-)

I also feed BARF and don't feed fruit & veg every day but with a good variety of food they don't suffer mentally or physically. Mine eat Fruit & veg roughly 4/5 days a week. I have been feeding BARF for quite a while now and have learnt to adapt. i.e. if their skin/coat - in my breed their coat is supposed to resemble goat texture, yes really - but this means that they naturally have dry, silvery skin - I up their fish oils to combat this. I feed salmon, herring and sardines on a bi-weekly basis. It's supposed to be 'brain' food although I haven't seen any evidence of this yet :-D

I used to feed Keepers Mix in the Summer but when I stopped it I honestly didn't notice any difference.

Mine get a mix of Venison, rabbit, pheasant (when in season) lamb racks, chicken carcasses, raw beef mince (after freezing) mixing in raw eggs including shell, tripe, heart, lung, liver (my bitch dislikes this) fresh sprats, trout, salmon, herring, sardines in tomato sauce, various steamed veg, certain in season fruit - bar the usual no no's.- Also garlic cloves every day to repel fleas, I could go on and on but I'm sure you get the picture

PS: edited to say that whenever either of my 2 have upset tummies or - god forbid need AB's- I give them pro-biotic capsules that are far more concentrated than pro-biotic yoghurt's and have been very successful
