well as you can see its 2.30AM! we have a small boy who keeps getting pushed aside so everytime i hear him cry im in the whelping box putting him back on for a feed so another long night!! i got more sleep when i had a new born baby to look after am not kidden ha!..mum also keeps panting but i think i can remember reading on here that thats normal?? but as my mind is sleep deprived at the min i may be wrong?? well everything is quiet again in the whelping box so may try to catch a cat nap while i can;)

hi calmstorm. everything is going fine we have a small boy (alot smaller than the rest he was last born) we were worried as i kept hearing him cry and evertime i went to see why he was left on his own in a corner of the whelping box bless him..so iv spent all my time putting him on mum making sure he gets his fare share iv even spent alot of time sat in! the box with them just to make sure..he's doing great now though seem stronger and today he's not been left out thank goodness..just made mum go to loo have to carry her out iv never seen a dog wee so fast in my life she runs back to box also just fed her she;s been having chicken soup and puppy food and iv put some gloucose powder in her water and iv been making sure she has plenty to drink...so all in all everything is going great mind you it really is a 24 hour job really dont know how on earth ratty666 coped with 2 mums and 10 pups at the same time god i couldnt ha! ;)

But sleep is only something you can dream about in the long and distant future *LOL*  Eventually you get used to that feeling of aching and deperatation to have a lie in.
