this makes such a differnce :) I also work from home, but I must warn you, when you have a cute new puppy to play with & train you wont get much work done, lol.
I think it's best not to force the cat to meet the pup, let the cat meet pup on the cats terms & ensure pup does not have free access to pester the cat. We found that our cat hid upstairs for the first week when we brought the pup home (we have another dog allready, but the cat was still disgusted!!!)
And always remember that a cat is very quick, it only takes a split second for a cat to give a warning swipe which can easily damage a puppies eye (my sisters boxer pup lost her eye this way, it was only a tiny scratch but it introduced an infection that caused swelling inside the eye, which caused irrepairable damge :( )
