Reggie seems to have a penchant for weeing on soft furnishings. In the 10 weeks we have had him he has left puddles on my other dog's beds, a cushion he found on the floor, my son's bed (he was delighted!), my neighbour's lab's bed & yesterday in the bed of another dog I am looking after. I think the only place he hasn't been is his own bed! He is only 20 weeks old, surely he can't be marking already? He is reasonably well house trained now so its not always an accident. Any ideas as to why he might be doing this or how I can overcome it?

I'm not sure why he's doing it springfever.  He may be a bit distressed by the other dog staying over - at 20 weeks he's still very young and so patience and 100% devotion to his toilet needs will continue to be required for a bit yet.

Whatever the underlying cause, I'd recommend that you remove all soft furnishings for now and also the dog beds (certainly during the day).  Restrict his access to rooms where this is likely to happen - particularly bedrooms for obvious reasons LOL - and hopefully you can then break what sounds like a habit forming.

I would say it could be marking, as my 13 week old bitch would pee on everything that another dog had layed on.  Stay consistant, with the toilet training, and give praise and treats when he does it when he is outside (or where ever you want him to toilet). 

Plus, he still is young, so accidents are going to happen.  Just I know with my bitch is was pure dominance.  She doesnt do it now though, thank goodness!
