I have a bitch that I've dont a surgical AI with frozen semen.  This is her third and last litter. I've had other girls that have had a tiny dark old looking blood at this time.  It seemed to be during the inplant stage, same as the timing that this happened.  I only notice it because I check with a tissue.   My concern is it happened again today and it is a little fresher (lighter in color)   Of course it happened on a Sunday.  I just noticed it the one time but wondering if anyone else has noticed this during this timing.  She acts perfectly fine, great appetite, not temp . I also wondered if it could be a longer heat cycle and it's just the end of a longer cycle than usual.  It would be 30 days from day one of her season.

Has anyone else experienced this so early if pregnant or had longer than the standard 3 week heat cycle?

Thank you
Darlene

This happened on my bitches last season and she missed, but the bleeding had been continuous since her season.

It isn't something I would normally do but when she comes in season this time I will give a course of antibiotics.  This hopefully will be her second litter.

My girl has recently been mated and bled continously from day 1 to day 39, she is just at 4 weeks (if concieved) dont know if she is pregnant or not yet though, she has been happy normal self all the way through, though the last 2 mornings has picked at her breakfast, i was sure she had missed due to the bleeding,  but now with her being picky and sleeping ALL the time i may be wrong, another couple of weeks should tell me.

hope you have success and good luck :)
