well ive been today, had my weigh in, ive not weighed myself for more than 2 years (I NEVER DO JUST GO BY THE TIGHTNESS OF CLOTHES) i was 83.9kg which is about 13st 3lb
im about to have 2nd shake, drank 6 pints of water and peeing like mad, i really really want to do this just want to loose 2 stone im 5ft 9in so that would be great, i dont want to drop a dress size just want my size 14s to be comfy and not tight, i will miss my food and only intend on staying on it for a month then i will go on weetabix and salads, i just need a kick start and i hope this will do it, wish me luck, i will keep you posted, thanks for listening,

Good luck tessisbest.  I am sure you will do well.  I have been on the Cambridge Diet for nearly 12 weeks and have lost just over 3 stone.

Keep drinking the water lol :)
- By tessisbest [gb] Date 21.04.08 18:04 UTC

- By tessisbest [gb] Date 21.04.08 18:21 UTC
sorry ment so say well done to you keep up the good work, have you much  to loose?
- By melster122 Date 21.04.08 20:16 UTC
Thanks.  As for feeding the family you just get used to not eating :)  My husband has put on weight since I have been on the Cambridge Diet.  I seem to cook much nicer meals.  I am eating by proxy lol
- By kiger [gb] Date 21.04.08 21:37 UTC
you havnt got much to loose,im in week 5 and ive lost a 2 stone,so you will do it in no time.
remember to take some before pictures and measure yourself so you can see the difference each week. what shakes are you drinking?
im really fussy and can only drink the choc so for a change if you want a mint choc make up a jug of peppermint tea and leave it in the fridge then make up your choc shake as usual but use the cold peppermint tea instead of water,it makes a nice change:-)
i cook loads for my boyfriend, you start to value food alot more on this diet and when you are eating agian you make such a hugh effort to eat well.good luck

What diet are you starting?
- By calmstorm Date 22.04.08 08:02 UTC
I think liquid diets are good for breaking bad eating habits you may have. It gives you a rest from thinking and planning what you have to eat, being structured to only having drinks/bars, and gives you time to work out what sort of food you will be eating when the time comes to reintroduce food again. As your tummy will have learnt to accept less, you won't want to eat so much and it does stamp on the sweet tooth. It certainly takes willpower to stick to it, and its a pain having to make sure there is always a loo handy (it does make you wee a lot ;) ) but as a short term quick start it can be good in many ways. Good luck to those on it :)

thats a fab idea regarding the peppermint tea then using it with the chocolate drink. i did'nt no which one to have so i had 7 of each (strawberry, choc, vanilla) the only one i dont like is the vanilla but i will have to tolerate it as i cant get back to the chemist to swap them, the pharmasist also offered to drop the 2nd weeks supply to my house as he said he passes by it, (thought that was kind) on day two now but i know i will need my willpower to kick in tonight as im on nights and a 12hr shift to get through but i will do it at £36 a week i cant afford to slip up i also think thats a insentive in its self its a lot of money so i will stick to it.

Good on you for trying to lose weight, a friend of mine went on this diet and lost a hell of a lot of weight however i'm afraid it didn't last and she got quite ill, unfortunately there are no "quick fixes" to losing weight just sensible eating and exercise

http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?p=52968704

thought this board might highlight some questions regarding lipotrim.

help!!!!!! im struggeling, was up all day yesterday then done night shift. i was hungry wanted to throw the towel in but didnt, how eating salads not seems so appealing,
- By Brainless [gb] Date 23.04.08 17:48 UTC
I would try a program like Weight Watchers, where you can eat real food, but to keep to loose weight you need to make wise choices and substitute high cal high fat foods for high fibre low cal ones wherever you can.  It encourages you to get your Calcium, five a day and plenty to drink.

It does work.  Yes I put the weight back on, because I didn't stick to the healthy eating plan, probably because I rebelled  against  the thought of having to be sensible for good to maintain the weight.

it takes some effort, but you can eat plenty of the right things so as not to feel hungry.

Anyway 2 stone lost since New year, another 4 1/2 to go, to get to a sensible (but not skinny) weight.

well done for losing 2 stone thats really great, i think alot of my problems is that ive been a yo yo dieter for 20+ years , ive been down the slimming tablets line lost the weight and put it all back on. last october i started a heathly eating plan had brerakfast lots of salads  and friut and veggies i was going to a big posh ball anf wanted to get into my gown, i did and felt great. then christmas came and went well everyone knows what happens then,, i have very little patience and want everythink yesterday, so thought this diet would give me a boost, well i will stick it out till sunday when my shakes have finished but then i will go back to salads etc... because at this very moment just eating salads fruit and veg sounds very nice indeed,,,,, i work in a hospital and felt like pinching the patients grapes but of course i didnt,,,
- By kiger [gb] Date 23.04.08 21:26 UTC
you can do it dont worry! remember this week is the hardest week! as soon as you see how much you have lost, you really will want to carry on with it.
go on this website if your feeling a bit crappy, look for the lipotrim forum.
www.minimins.com post on there and everyone will help you loads they are so great.

keep your water intake up it also helps to stop you feeling as hungry.if you really want somthing to eat you can make one of your milkshakes into a mouse and put it in a small container and freeze it then its goes like a ice cream type bar they are quite nice,
also i remember you said you like coffe so you can add some coffe to your vanilla/choc and add loads of crushed ice and it makes a nice change.

if i can do it then im very sure you can,you havnt got much weight to lose at all,it will take no time at all:-)
- By tessisbest [gb] Date 23.04.08 23:37 UTC
kiger----thankyou so much for your support it really does help, thats a brill idea regarding adding the coffee to the vanilla i will definatly try it today.
- By tessisbest [gb] Date 24.04.08 16:44 UTC
kiger-- wow what a website that is, so many people on this diet, its soo encouraging to read the post and knowing that yes this diet really works, on day 4 now feeling fine, not hungry, its just the smell of the family food thats so good, thank goodness tess is eating all food and not leaving anythink, could i be tempted!!!!!!!!!
- By kiger [gb] Date 24.04.08 22:06 UTC
its really good on there isnt it.have you made up a profile thingy on there? you should do if you already havnt then you can get really into it with your weight loss counter seeing it go down every weeks spurs you on more.it helps so much having all those people on there that are doing it with you.my family and friends dont understand what its like to be on this diet,it is so hard.

i know the feeling! why does dog food smell nice all of a sudden????

you are being very brave being around food, for my first 2 weeks i couldnt be near it at all otherwise i would of ended up thinking about it so much more!
if you are feeling like eating go and take the dog for a walk untill everyone has ate.i know its not ideal, but for your first few weeks it will help you out so much more.

good luck keep me posted :-)
- By tessisbest [gb] Date 25.04.08 16:03 UTC
i know shouldnt have but weighed myself today, after 5 days ive lost 7lb wow i feel so much better its given me the kick start that i needed, im thinking about going on salad and fruit next week, i will not cheat just want some food !!! do you think this will be ok ?
- By kiger [gb] Date 25.04.08 17:43 UTC
i know its wrong to weigh your self on it but i do it too!:-)

your best not eating fruit it slows your weight loss down on lipotrim. if you do really need to eat on it then what i do is have chicken breast with veg or fish with veg and have your 2milkshakes for breakfast and lunch and your weight loss levels still stay high your just not in ketosis but your still losing.i eat chicken/fish with veg about 3times a week for the last 3weeks and its made me be able to stay on the diet for longer without pulling my hair out!
i eat on sat's and usualy wed's and cook roast dinner on a sundays,i have a tiny bit of gravy on sundays an thats like the best thing ever! lol desperation or what!!!
i dont know if that will work for you but it works really well for me.:-)
- By tessisbest [gb] Date 25.04.08 19:12 UTC
kiger- how many weeks have you been doing this diet for? hope you dont mind me asking
- By kiger [gb] Date 25.04.08 22:29 UTC
its my week 6 weigh in tomorrow.i was on lipotrim last year for  8 weeks and lost just over 3stone but i had to come off it for a operation and i took advantage and ate loads of crap and ended up putting 2stone back on!
im totaly comited to it for the long run now, ive got a holiday to south africa in oct to meet all my boyfriends family that still live over there so thats my thing to look forward to.
is your profile name will on minimins site? if it is i saw you wrote a comment about wanting to do fruit and salad next week, alot of the people on there dont practice what they preach! they say no really dont eat anything but they are the ones that end up posting saying oh my god i couldnt take it any longer and ate loads of crap and end up putting on weight that week! where as if you do eat good things like chicken/fish you are still losing weight every week it just means you wont be in ketosis
- By Brainless [gb] Date 25.04.08 22:40 UTC

> ketosis

This article may sound a note of caution: http://www.nhsdirect.nhs.uk/articles/article.aspx?articleId=221#
- By kiger [gb] Date 25.04.08 22:55 UTC
on lipotrim you have to fill out a huge questionaire on your health and then the phamasist decides if you are able to go on the diet or not,if you get on the diet you are then monitered every week.ketosis is a dangerous thing but you are well advised about it and know what you are getting into when you start.
- By tessisbest [gb] Date 26.04.08 07:43 UTC
