I have a litter of 3 pups, 4 weeks old. Started weaning just over a week ago. Mainly giving scrambled egg, ready brek, rice pudding and james wb complete puppy mashed down(all made with goats milk). They seem to all have the runs, my vet has advised I shouldn't be giving them so many different things and just stick to puppy complete. I was going to start with chicken and mince this week but not sure what ro do now. Any advice would be greatly received.

I normally start weaning me pups on a plain basic puppy porridge, then once they start to enjoy it will by the time they are 5 - 6 weeks give them scrambled egg made with puppy milk and eggs only.
As long as this is not causing any runny poo I then gradually start introducing puppy bite size complete food with raw FRESH good quality mince.
I have lots of different menus that I use when weaning pup and I find writing a day to day menu helps with knowing what the pups are going to be having and when (what time) and then I can see if anything may upset their tummies.

Good luck with your litter, bless them xx

Is the rice pudding tinned or homemade? If it's tinned then remember it contains a huge amount of sugar (as does the Readybrek) and sucrose is a laxative ........

You seem to be giving too wide a variety of foods too soon. I always found it best to introduce a single new food each week so as not to overload their immature digestions.

I always just use their puppy food mashed down in a blender and add some puppy milk powder. Never had any problems.
