sorry in advance for this tale but im so angry!!!!!
I had my daughter on the phone to me this evening to say that she had just witnessed the most horrific cruelty to little staffy pup.
The owner who is not a nice person, had taken puppy to local shops[off lead] and while he was in the shops the puppy[as they do]wandered off and into chip shop.
The owner came in and poor dog backed into corner was then picked up in a head lock, punched 4times in face, taken outside and thrown down steps landing on her back.
Everyone was gobsmacked with shock and he didnt care one bit.
Well weve reported it to R.S.P.C.A,who were very angry.
But no-one else would do anything cos of the guys reputation, but i couldnt live with myself if we didnt do something.
She never made a sound when he hit her as if this was the norm!!!!!
Im Sooooooooo Angry.

Dreadful - the TOS prevent me from saying what I really feel

Good on you for reporting it and let's hope the RSPCA can track the yob down and somehow claim the poor dog :(
oh they will track him cos we told them where he lives.

That is just sick........Why?......What the hell makes these scum bags tick??????? Poor little innocent puppy. With jerks acting like that in public, it's no wonder there are so many adult dogs that attack people..... I feel so sad just thinking what that poor little pup must go through behind closed doors......
Good on you for reporting that low-life waste of space.

Totally disgusting, poor little mite. I do hope the RSPCA will do something to save this poor thing.
omg i cant believe what ive just read, well done for reporting it, the thought of what that poor pup must have been feeling makes me wanna cry. i just dont understand what is wrong with people. 2 days ago, my boyfriend shouted at a girl when he was out jogging because she picked her small dog up round the neck and by one back leg, and spun it round and threw it in the lake!! he asked her what the h*ll she was doing to her poor dog and said to take the poor thing home, needless to say she went away with her tail between her legs (the girl that is). My bf said the poor dog looked terrified, its not as bad as the story in this post, but even so, wot goes on in these peoples heads??
I hope the RSPCA do something but i wouldn't hold my breath i have contacted them on several occasions and they have done absolutely nothing. In fact the only time they turned out was when i pretended to be a reporter for the local paper then they couldn't get there quick enough. I hope to goodness that they will do something on this occasion.
My reports were two of cruelty (owners left dogs outside tied in the back yard while they had gone on holiday but as they had left them water the RSPCA said there was nothing they could do and the other when a dog was being beaten in a gypsy camp they couldn't attend as they didn't interfere with travellers. I removed the dog from the gypsy camp myself and the neighbours dealt with the tied up dogs for the holiday family). The other times were for two injured animals. One of the animals was a deer and they said they didn't do wild life and the other a poor GSD knocked down on a duel carriageway but because we had moved it from the road it was no longer their business but down to us as we had moved it. We ended up taking both to our local vet, the deer was later released back to the wild after a couple of weeks of treatment but the poor GSD didn't make it.
I really hope that i am proved wrong on this occasion - please let me be wrong.
Hi All,
well the man i spoke to was very nice and said that it constituted severe cruelty, and may lead to prosecution,so lets hope cos the said offender was seen to kick the same puppy this morning cos it wouldnt sit.!!!!!!!
Hes a real sicko and also beats his pregnant wife so ive been told.
That is disgusting also ,but she has the choice to go or stay, the poor pup doesnt.
I will update you all as i hear anything.
Jonelle
I have to say i wouldnt give two hoots about his reputaion and to be honest all he is is a bully-bullies should be stood up to.
As Jonelle said his wife has the ability to walk away and leave, this poor dog doesnt.
Really hope and pray the RSPCA can do something about it NOW!! Do they need evidence or can they take action with immediate effect just based on peple eye witness accounts??
What a b*&%ard-scum of the Earth. I wouldnt get physical with him (with him being a man and me being a girl) but i know a few of my friends (male) and even my Dad would have given him a bloody good hiding and took the dog off him. GGrrrrr, i feel all fired uo now.
Let us know the outcome.x
I would just like to say here.....especially if someone who reads this is a battered wife (or husband) for so many reasons its not always easy for the battered partner to just 'walk away' from an abusive relationship. It may seem like that to someone who has never been in this position. many become brave with help from various organisations to actually leave, but its not as easy as it may seem.
I really hope the RSPCA do investigate this and are able to at the very least remove the dog, taking him to court and banning him from keeping animals would be ideal but as the law stands the poor animal may not have been abused enough. But fingers crossed.

I can appreciate how you feel, but all that would acheive would be for your Dad or friends to be arrested and charged for assault and theft. The dog would be returned to the owner pending whatever the RSPCA did. Its a sad fact that we have to be careful how much force we use to protect ourselves/family/property from thugs and criminals, never mind an isolated offence. The thug is more likely to know his 'rights' than you are :(
Scum!! Please keep us all updated.

oh my god what an a-hole.
I hope someone does the same to him one day.!!!!!
I know that calmstorm but could not witness that no matter what the consequences would be, i would have to step in. Some people are more reserved than others, i am not one of those people. I would also step in if someone was being beaten up/bullied/abused. Thats just the way i am :-) Canot stand by and watch and do nothing
what a total scub bag, im sorry but i could not of been able to keep my mouth shut (unless he knew where i lived) im totally disgusted, who the hell do these people think they are i just hope someone puts his head in a lock and thumps the **** of him, good for you reporting him, let us no.
Well done for reporting him.
Very unusual way to train a dog to stay. :-( I wonder if that is the way the bullies father trained him!
I pray that the pup is rescued, if the RSPCA do not take this dog away they are a disgrace. The pup may well be damaged beyond repair after this treatment though. :-( There are some truly wicked people.

Thats awful. I hope the rspca are in time to save this pup
well done for reporting the piece of sh**te!
I know of a man keeping a staffy who is very underweight, with a skin problem. Due to my job i am unable to report him (see i do keep the rules sometimes :wink ) I just hope someone see's the dog soon and reports him. Im almost tempted to chuck food over the fence but i cant really can i?

Hi All,
In no way did i mean to offend anyone with what i said about battered wife, [and im sorry if i did]. I was just observing that the little pup had no choice at all.
Jonelle

In Response to calmstorm
Thanks for posting the comment about battered partners. I was going to go into a whole speal, but now dont need to.
Anyways, the man who beat his dog, is a real scum. How could someone do that? I would have jumped him, TBH. I have done so on a few occassions, when I have seen animal abuse, got right in the persons face, willing to fight for the pup (or cat, or whatever). I have given a punch to a person who was hitting a dog, and they got the message real fast. (not braggin on my actions, as violence is wrong, but when its a poor pup, thats a little different.)
I hope that man is prosecuted to the fullest!!! He should never be allowed to own animals again.
To Fredsmum...Assisting someone who is being assaulted to prevent furthur harm, be that human or animal is a bit different to 'giving someone a good hiding'. :) The OP did the right thing and hopefully the authorities will see this incident through with witnesses.
Donna....any idea if the RSPCA follow up cases that are reported anon? Or do you have a friend who could have seen this dog who would be willing to say something? If the owner is not a client then theres nothing to stop you, but I'm guessing he is?

what an evil evil man :(

Did you get my p.m? I hope it helped in your query x
But he does need a damn good hiding (in my eyes)
I'm with Crespin here. Makes me livid to even think there are people around like that but if i saw it, woah, i'd be right in there and yes, i too would jump the little ba$%rd.
omg that is terrible i have to say regardless of his rep i would of gave him some abuse and then at least attempted to take the dog if he attacked me never mind at least then he might do some time as a owner of a staff (actually 2 now) i know how boisterous they can be but that i would never dream of doing i wouldnt like to think of what that inocent child his partner is having will have to endure people like that dont desrve animals or children im so angry now

This man deserves the full treatment - a proper good hiding, I certainly would have no qualms in delivering it fact, would tkae total pleasure.
These w*nkers only understand actions like this.
Sincerely hope he gets what's coming to him and surley somewhere down the line he will, I would've at least attempted to take the dog.
Mind you, he'll probably just get a £20 fine, if that!

the sad thing is that when you have a go at someone who has mistreated their dog and they leave with the dog it is often the cue for the dog's next beating. :( I would have attempted to take the dog too I think and made sure he got a doing at a later date!
Hi All,
If i had been there i would have challenged him alright, but my daughter was just so shocked it was all over in seconds and people were trying to console two young children in the chip shop who were as you can imagine horrified to have witnessed it all.
He has been known to use big knives apparently to threaten humans.
Such a nice person[not].
Will ring them again soon to chase it up if we dont here anything as they said they would let us know.
And i Agree with the above i am worried about how he might take it out more on the pup.
Jonelle.
