Puppy went to it's new home late last week and has had a runny bottom.  What's the best thing to help aid the move and for the dog to eat?    They have had it on a chicken and rice diet but of course chicken can cause some dogs to have the runs anway.

I'd switch to steamed white fish in the meantime until the pup's tummy settles, keep a bland diet for an extra couple of days (adding mashed potato or over cooked rice to fish) and change gradually back to the original puppy food.

Its possibly a change in the water in the pup's new home which has made things kick off as well as stress.  They could also give protexin or prokolin 2/3 times a day to sooth the gut and improve internal healing.  Personally I like to have some tree bark powder to add to food :)

regards, Teri
