Jackie - I may just manage to put up with you ;) Will be good to see you :D I'm going with Lynne.
Anita and Dawn
At Newark next week too but it is a Golden Champ show so don't expect you'll be there but unless Phoe comes into season I'm planning on doing Newark as follows :
2nd Nov - Grantham and District
9th Nov - North Lincs
23rd Nov - West Torrington
8th Dec - Sleaford
15th Dec - Boston
19th Jan - Retford - which would be Phoes very last show as a puppy !!!!! She'll be 364 days old :D :D
Think you could say the bug has bitten
How is the bouncing going Anita - is she getting on well ?
Good Luck at the club show Dawn :)

Bitten! I think you've been swallowed:D How do you get all these dates for shows at Newark? Should definately be able to make one of them:)
She is still enjoying it, first comp tomorrow:) Her mother though is not amused:rolleyes: Just been informed yesterday of another competition in November, on the very day I had plans to meet up with Dizzy and Marie to go to a Shar Pei show Grrrrrrrrrrr:(

When you go to a show there are lots of shedules there for you to pick up, or you can look in the dog papers and then sent a SAE and ask for one, or if in a hurry phone for one to be sent. Ja:)kie

whoops about November and wrinklies :( :(
as to shows - I find
This site - ProDogs pretty good although it just has society name and you have to take a guess where you think it may be held until the schedule arrives ;)
I've been told of another one at Newark on 17th Nov (Goole and district) that Jay and Storm are going to so depending on whose judging and who is going on the various dates I may do that one and drop one of the others - 4 weeks running seems a bit much but we'll see :D

Sara, if you have not been to Newark before you neeed to dress in layers, t. shirt, sweater, coat. Hope to see you there. Jackie
You forgot the Balaclava, woollen mittens, thermal underwear, wooly socks, hottie bottie, hip flask with whisky, woolly hat, scarf, boots, overshoes and, sometimes, sandals and shorts!!!

and Pete's big van to carry my whole wardrobe in from the sounds of it !!!!!! :D
I'll try and remember to multi layered - thanks for the advice :)
By Jackie H
Date 05.10.02 17:40 UTC
Ah well if you have the use of the BIG van, how about Sunday lunch. And don't forget the wine.
Ja:)kie
Forgot the heaters.
You M U S T keep dogs away from the heaters especially long-coated breeds as they have been known to catch fire.
Mind you they do serve a nice hot-dog in the cafe in the corner. <<VBG>>
By SaraW
Date 05.10.02 18:50 UTC
ahhhhhhhhhhhh - I could use the van then and defrost her next to these supercharged heaters before her class :D :D
Are they those gas space heater/ blower jobbies then LD ? Must be the hairspray on a dog that caused the ignition then ;)
By SaraW
Date 05.10.02 19:04 UTC
actually been thinking about it LD and I'd better wash my hair tonight as been to hairdressers today and if I stood near a heater now I'd be likely to go up in flames  I seem to have twice as much hair as before I went there today and I look like Crystal Tips after electrocution and it doesn't even move in the breeze at the moment as it's so stiff with hairspray lol
By SaraW
Date 05.10.02 18:46 UTC
lol - it'd have to be a cold Sunday lunch Jackie seeing as it's refrigerated ;) Mind, the wine would be cold :D
Getting a lift in Lynnes big car to this one :D
You don't seriously Pete'd let me loose in his *precious* vehicle do you :D besides Phoe would be little stiff after getting there if she travelled in the back.
I can see the critique now : Dog stood like a statue, frozen to the spot. Would have liked a little more animation , she is after all only a pup. Movement poor, although she slid over the ground as if on castors I didn't see her limbs move. Tailset poor - it is not suppossed to be stuck straight pointing skywards.
Me :D
By Jackie H
Date 05.10.02 19:42 UTC
LOL, but she did have a nice cold nose. forget the lunch, just bring the wine.
Ja:)kie
By SaraW
Date 05.10.02 20:05 UTC
don't worry Ja:)kie - I'll *whine* alright - probably about being cold from what you and LD say ;)
Make sure you have got your thermal knickers on!!
Have a good day and dont drink too much of the wine or the KC police will have you for being drunk in control of a dog!!

well no results to report for us :( Class of 10 (think about 8 were present) Pulled to 4 places and we weren't in them BUT there's always next time :)
On grass so Phoe was skipping or nose down for alot of it though my "spectators" told me she did move well when doing as she should. She stood a treat though - just not the judges choice :)
Her Mum won her class though :D
Ja:)kie - how did you do ? Couldn't find you later when I came searching. Thanks for your support by the way.
Jackie & Tucker - saw you in the catalogue but couldn't find you in person - were you there ? Didn't seem to be many cockers about so I should have been able to track you down!
LD - how did you and the girls get on?
Sara :)

Hi Sara, I did as well as you, left the ring to be told by about 6 spectators 'knew you wouldn't do anything when we saw you go in,' why? I asked, 'because that judge only likes dogs who stand like statues.' Well you know Solli, statue, not in my wildest dreams. Still the spectators were kind enough that they enjoyed watching him move, 'looked like he could keep it up all day, wish we could say the same for the handler' Ja:)kie

Date 06.10.02 18:07 UTC
:D well you looked pretty fit when I saw you Ja:)kie but I suppose you were stood still at the time ;)

I'm fine Sara, but the ground was bumpy and that worries me a bit.
Ja:)kie
Must stop meeting like this have Leigh complaining we treat the board like a chat room, at least I do it in the early morning.
AHHHHH
So you were inside were you!
On the bumpy flooring in there.
Did the thermals work?
Did you enjoy it and get a piece of coloured cardboard <G>
We must all be mad paying good money and getting excited at a bit of cardboard LOL
By Jackie H
Date 07.10.02 08:44 UTC
No outside on the bumpy ground, the concreate would not bother me. And no neither Sara or I even got a bit of cardboard, bad choice of judge, of course. Ja:)kie
