Hello
Haven't had time to post on here for ages but am hoping someone can give me a bit of advice.  We have been invited to a family wedding in July near Darlington.  It will be a posh affair and not really our sort of thing but my mother-in-law would love to go but cannot drive so we are slowly being talked into it.  We could stay at the reception venue but at nearly £200 a night can't really run to it!!  I have tried to find a cottage fairly nearby but think we may be best staying in a (cheapish) b and b as we will be unlikely to be able to book a cottage just for two nights for July.  So, does anyone happen to know anywhere to stay not too far from Headlam - probably within half hour drive would be best if possible.  Even names of possible towns would be a start as I don't know that part of the country at all.  Unfortunately the dogs are not invited so will have to stay with my mum and dad so it could be a pet-free place if it had to be (although I always think b and b's must be nicer if they allow pets even if we don't have ours with us!)
Many thanks

You will need to check how far this is from your wedding venue.
