This was on the Sky website - they've removed the story but the headline is still there in the title line of browser.
Do they know something we don't - or are they jumping the gun ?.

No, the story isn't there but if you look at the top of your screen it says that he has died.

I saw on the nes he was taken to hospital think it was a chest infection - don't quote me on that.

Ooooh dear...Found this on another forum though that someone had posted:

>Press Association ran this story after the Sky News one as far as I can tell

>Doctors to assess Duke
>Doctors in central London are to assess the Duke of Edinburgh to decide whether he is fit enough to leave hospital.
>The Duke, 86, was admitted to the private King Edward VII Hospital after developing a chest infection.
>Buckingham Palace said the Duke's weekend programme of engagements had been cancelled, but two planned visits on Monday are still on his diary.

Very strange!!!.......unless they have inside info not allowed to release yet? or as you say, jumping the gun!

All progs would be interrupted though, if ( when ) it happens

I know it's naughty but another site has also posted this and somebody has replied that if it is true they hope Dr Who isn't cancelled to make way for the extended news !.

It's on the front pages of today's papers that he's been admitted with a chest infection ...

It could be that they've written the story in advance in case he did die so that they could be first off the blocks to report it.  I imagine they do this sort of thing quite often but don't expect some dope to post it on the internet before it's happened :)

> imagine they do this sort of thing quite often

most places have a draft one ready at all times for many people. i know the times has an obituary writer who keeps general ones on famous people etc in case they die suddenly. it just gets updated with the specific details etc. scary morbid huh?

Sorry I know I shouldn't chuckle but my sister came over the other day & was talking about London, my 5 year old chirped up that my brother lives there etc.  So my sister said "so does the Queen".  dd turned round & said, "no, she's dead".  Knowing my daughter as I do, I turned to my quizzical sister & said, well don't be surprised if you hear on the news that either the Queen or Prince Philip are dead!
