Hi all, thank you all for your support, took Floyd down at 9am this morning, very emotional for me, blubbed in the vets and when I got back in the car. Had to go into a meeting at work this afternoon, the vets called and left a message for me to call them urgently, only to find out, that all they wanted to know was if I wanted to have him castrated while he was under, of which when I signed the consent form this morning, the only request that I made was to have his nails clipped. So after nearly having heart failure, they told me that they had found nothing abnormal, everything looked as it should do and that they had taken biopsies from various parts of his internal organs, stomach and intestine. So now we have to wait for results to come back. Resisting the urge to go see him tonight, want to keep him settled while he is there as he gets so boisterous and excited when he has been away from us. Hopefully if he is ok through the night and tomorrow morning we should be able to pick him up tomorrow afternoon, though we have been told to keep him very quiet for 5 days at least (easier said than done with his breed) and very minimal exercise for 10 days after that. Can't wait to see him.
Thank you all again for your support. I will keep you updated on his progress and results.
