Has anyone tried Cortaflex liquid supplement or Corta-vet spray for osteoarthritis or anything else? My vet tells me that they are the same thing, just different! I have tried lots of different things for my 4yr old Labrador cross, this is just about the last resort.
Thanks

I use Arthri Aid which is similar to Cortaflex for my Dobermann. She developed chronic arthritis in her knee due an injury. It took a few weeks to kick in but It seems to have worked a treat the lameness has almost gone I hardly have to use painkillers now. I also her bought a Bio-Collar which has also helped. Im not too sure what Corta-Vet is though.
Hope this helps a bit

I`m using CosequinDS at the moment on one of my dogs, havn`t been using it long but am noticing a difference. They are not all the same tho & Pharmaceutical grade of Glucosamine is the best sort. Try doing a search on Glucosamine there is loads of info on the net.

I have tried Cosequin DS for Dylan, he was on it for approx. 12 weeks, but unfortunately showed no improvement, Corta-vet seems only to be available through the vets, it is apparently 5 times stronger than other Glucosamines and like Cortaflex, has a smaller molecular structure which is supposed to absorb into the cartilage area better, fingers crossed!

I use Cartofen which again is very similiar on my nine year old who has arthritis, my vet has recommended that I try Cortoflex
With Loppy, I also give him glucosamine, and the change in his mobility since the treatment has been nothing short of fantastic

I also use plain old glucosamine to help my boy who suffers from arthritis in his elbows. The change in him has been nothing short of miraculous!
