My Estrela Mountain Dog is currently on Pro Plan and I want to take her off it because it is manufactured by Nestle.
She has Pro Plan mixed with Chappie as Nature's Menu gave her diarrhoea.  This took me months to work out, so I don't want to mess with her food too much in case we go back to sloppy poo on the stairs every time I go out!

I was planning to switch her to James Wellbeloved as I know others with my breed feed JWB, but having read the JWB thread I'm having second thoughts...  I'd also like to be able to buy online or get a discount for larger quantities as we get through 15kg a month - I haven't found anywhere selling JWB for less than about £38 a bag.

I'd appreciate your thoughts :)

I've personally never tried JWB.
My pup has a very sensitive tummy, he's on Beta & tripe, some people wouldn't touch Beta with a barge pole, but he is great on it, yet if he has food some others may prefer it gives him the runs.
All dogs are different JWB may suit your dog, you wont know until you try :)

I think most people have their own favourites and points of view.I have fed Royal Canine for the last few years.A 17kg bag costs me £32 as I belong to the breeders club. Its usually delivered within a couple of days postage free. You just have to order 2 bags at a time.I have now swapped my puppies to a BARF diet which is completely natural just raw meat and veg. They are really enjoying it at the moment and their faeces are no longer very soft as it was on the complete food.I did try a few samples of happy dog,a german company makes this.I was quite impressed by the contents as it is completely natural and doesn't appear to have any ethical issues.

Arden Grange sells direct and online. Delivery is usually next day and I'm in the north east. I see they've raised their prices to £32 for 15kg (used to be 28 when I bought it last). Still, it's a good food and made here in the UK.

My dog has JWB, very satisfied with it, the grain free one.
He has it with chappie in the morning and dry from his ball in the evening.
All fine.

Well James Well beloved is now owned by Mars, same company as Pedigre, and interestingly sems to ahve changed (not for the better) since it did.

I prefer a UK independant like Arden Grange personally.

You people are brilliant :D

I've just been reading the Arden Grange website and they are just what I was looking for.  They're UK-based and they don't use battery chicken either :)  And £32 is very reasonable!

I'm going to order a bag and wean her onto it, if we don't have any problems she can go onto it permanently.  Thanks again, I don't know what I'd do without these boards sometimes!
