Does anyone know of any romantic places to spend a winter week-end, it doesn't need to be dog friendly.

I live in Horsham and only want to get away for one evening and so don't want to travel too far.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks

Dartmoor isn't too far away and very easy to get to now. All those craggy rock strewn moors, ponies, abandoned mines, not to mention cream tea shops.......yum yum.:D

What about Raymond le Blancs place? Anyone remember what its called. Or the New Forest area, must be some nice hotels around there.

Isn't it something like Le Quatre Saisons?
What about Paris by Eurostar with a stay overnight? The Eiffel Tower by night, a trip down Le Seine........ If you book Eurostar at least 14 days ahead, you can get special rates for 1st Class, even more romantic!

What about that nice place on the right hand side of the road as you drive the Lower Beeding? I can't remember what it's called but I spent my wedding night their in a four poster room.

It's really nice and the food is lovely.

Also the posh hotels on Brighton seafront could be nice. There's one from the Thistle chain and that's lovely.

Can't do Paris as I was treated to week-end there for my birthday in May.

Brighton is our favourite place as we can get there so easily so it is an option.

I was just looking for something and somewhere we hadn't been.

I have e-mailed a lovely thatched cottage in the New Forest so that is also an option.

Keep the suggestions coming!
