I climbed my first mountain this wknd & I'm so proud of myself! Climbed Kinder Scout, Edale in the Peak District with OH & dog!  I was a little scared & completely out of breath after the first incline but it was so worth it when we got to the top! We could see for miles & miles & to top it off we got a light sprinkling of snow, so beautiful!  Lots of snow when we were coming down though, in places it was up to a foot deep for the night before! Just thought I'd share that with you all...:) :)

That sounds a wonderful way to spend the weekend. I went for a walk by the river. Not quite as adventurous but lovely all the same.
I used to do a lot of walking on the moors. At the time when i was cold and achy and out of breath i would moan but when you get to the top and see the view or stop for a minute to admire the quiet peacefullness theres nothing like it in the world. Then you come home have a nice hot bath and soothe the aches and pains and you feel so proud of what you have achieved.
