Buy a pup even if they dont have the Pedigree or KC Reg No, on another dog website , theres a Black pug, perfect price but the dog is in Antrim too so quite a way to collect the dog. What questions do u ask? or do you leave it?
kind regards

Short answer is NO! :)

No.  I can think of at least one known puppy farmer in the Antrim area for a start.  Quite apart from that, the lack of KC registration rings major alarm bells.

Contact the Pug puppy list co-ordinator for details or reputable breeders: Mrs Sylvia Clements, Telephone 01953 455461.

Edited to add....just had a look at the advert in question.  The breeder is actually in Belfast.  Sounds like someone who has bred a litter from their pets ('both parents can be seen') which generally means they have done so with making money as their intention with little regard to health or temperament, especially when coupled with lack of registration.  Steer well clear!

A lot of the adds are fake. And the seller asks you to send money for a deposit or to pay for the pup to be delivered. Offden there are no pups at all ,they just want your money
so never hand over any money an till you have met the pups and there mum in person.
A puppy is not real an till its in your arms

Don't touch it! Even with someone else's bargepole!!!

Yes, most of my dogs don't have a pedigree or KC number.

BIG BUT... I would only do this if adopting from a decent rescue, you can find all ages and breeds/non-breeds and they ask for a reasonable donation. It isn't easy you'll be questioned and checked up on, for a lot of people (not saying this is you) it is quicker to get a puppy farmed pup because they don't care where it ends up.

In your situation I'd either contact local and Pug (if there is one) rescues and wait for a dog to come up, or keep saving up and get on an excellent breeders waiting list.

You probably know this already but please remember that a KC registration is no guarantee of a good breeder and you'll need to do some research on what to look for.

A Pom came to our training yesterday.  No papers and very cheap, didn't really look like a Pom.  Definitely has Pom in it and a sweet dog, but I'd say don't go there.

With a breed like a Pug which has the squashed face, you really want a dog from proper breeding to ensure there are no problems with breathing etc, so I would say a definate No for this breed and I wouldnt reccommend it with any breed to think of it!

Would you buy a car with no registration/mot papers?   What is the difference?  Pedigree Pups cost as much an old runaround car so why not save a bit more and get what you're paying for?   ;)
