Ive read eggs are good to give dogs, is this just raw or are boiled ok?

Also I am currently feeding Marley Eukanuba but someone at training class said its full of colourings!  and suggested I put him on Burns, what do you lot think?

With regard to the eggs i just put a raw egg on the floor. My dog will chase it for a bit before it either smashes against something or he pierces it with his teeth. he licks the insides up and eats the shell. He loves it :-)  A game and food so hes in his element!
Im no expert on variations of food but would say if you are going to change over food then do it very gradually. My dog is on Oscars complete and i had a long chat with the rep guy before i did anything and found out lots of information. Wouldnt change just becuase someone at class told you to...do some research and others on here will be along soon and give you advice - then make your decision.
Hope that helps.

my dogs eat eggs, raw and boiled!! shell and all!!!
they love them, as soon as they see me get the eggs out they are there waiting!
Very good for them, i either put the raw or boiled egg on their dinner or just let them play with if like Freds mum does!!

Burns in my opinion is the best complete dog food to give to dogs, like any diet people have their own views on whats best, but my dogs and pups are fed on burns its great stuff!

Oh I cant wait till he wakes up now, going to put the boiled egg in the garden and see what he makes of it! :-)  defo wont choke on the shell or anything (13 wks)

When I first introduced eggs to my dogs, with the boiled egg I would tap it to crack it so that they got the idea what was inside.
I have never had a dog choke on the shell, but would possibily take some of the shell off for your 13 week pup, so he gets used to it xx

that was so funny!!!  he played with it kicking it between his front paws and kept lying down next to it looking very confused at it.  He finally got it open and had an unsure weather he liked it expression, ate the yellow and left the white with the shell!!!  just like my kids!!!

Aah bless. The first time Fred had the egg when it broke and the yolk came running out he looked at me as if to say "sorry i broke it". when he realised it was all part of the fun he lapped it up even more.

as to the food i'm pretty sure there was a thread on here about how bad eukanuba is (not sure though), search it and see what comes up

hmm, its very mixed, bit like marmite!! some love it some hate it!!!  I will compare the label on Euk, Burns, JWB and AG-these all seem to be the most popular brands and see what I think. :-)

ive never gave my dog eggs, cant wait to try her with one so next question is do i give her first one  boiled (soft or hard) or a raw one, thankyou

I gave my dog a raw egg for his first. He has a very very :-) weak stomach and he was absolutely fine if thats anything to go by.

Given Louis a hard boiled egg!! Took a bit of shell off one end so he could smell inside.

He played football first :) then rolled it and batted it around a bit then scarpered with it to his bed. He ate every bit - shell and all!!!

Be the first time his top end smells of egg...ha ha ha

Killichick, LoL!!! :)

My kids had to decorate a hard boiled egg at school yesterday, (what ever happened to the blowing out of the yoke and just leaving the shell for school?) anyhow, they bought them home today, my dogs surrounded both my kids in hope the eggs was for them!!!  My youngest son, was very upset that the dogs wanted to eat his prize winning decorated easter hard boiled egg!!!
