I personally think about time to and personally think the coverage was disgraceful.    They would be within the rights to sue for their own damages which it appears they have not.

Sorry but half a million pound for leaving three children under four alone, I think is disgraceful!!

I don't think the money is going to them - isn't it into a fund towards continued search for Maddie or something along those lines?

I have very mixed feelings about this whole case but don't believe in trial by media so, on the proviso the award isn't a personal one, I think it was the fairest outcome.  Please God Maddie's fate, whatever that may be, will be discovered sooner rather than later :(

It doesn't say anywhere such thing?   Half a million pound goes straight the fund and it is for Very serious comments which were untrue.  NOTHING to do with leaving children alone. We all have a our views on that and I am really against leaving children alone BUT that is nothing to do with the above link or findings.

Have you seen the 20 highlighted front pages from the Express group?  it is a down right disgraceful and it was right for it to be nipped in the bud.

It was proven that money was not taken from the fund. I had a good read on it.     Remember your comments above also could be seen as defamatory.

If she is pregnant again, so what????
They have not been charged with anything, they have lost a child that they may well never get back.
And I bet they dont ever leave their children alone again!!!!
So IF she is then dont the deserve a bit of happiness from it????
I think the £500k is a good pay out to the fund.
I hope that if they ever do find madeline any money left over is given the missing persons helpline to set up something for missing people abroad.
Lea :) :)

I dont give 2 hoots if she is pregnant or not, dont actually like the couple much. Just i would be surprised if anyone could think of conceiving when going through what they are.
- By Gemini05 Date 20.03.08 12:14 UTC
I don't give two hoots ever, all I want is for little Maddaline to be found, safe and well, thoughts out to Maddie xx

Personally I could not see her/them doing anything to Maddie since they needed help getting pregnant in the first place- I don't agree with leaving children under age alone unsupervised thats why we get babysitters.

I think when she went missing things were sabatoged at the crime scene so they didn't get proper dusting ect done- That whole place should have been gone over, dusted ect treated like you would with a murder scene- watched a coverage on it awhile back.

Whether she is or isn't, it will never get them over the loss of their child, not matter how she came to go missing.
