Would you expect the KC reg of a litter of puppies to take more time due to Cruffs?

If i call the kennel club will they tell me at least if the breeder sent the paper work off to them. ?...... I no the breeder sent it off 4 weeks ago, I have the puppy and she said she would forward the paper work to me. Just geting itchy feet that it hasn't been sent yet to me!

Any ideas?

Hi, with my litter last year, I sent the Puppy registration off, but it took a long time for it to come back, all my puppy owners was given the option of ever taking their pups home anyway and me post the papers or for them to wait a bit longer before taking pup home!  you can imagine what my puppy owners wanted!! take the puppy home and post the papers!!!
I think it took about 2 - 3 weeks for the papers to come through.
If I was you I would give the breeder a call, tell them how the pup is doing and then just ask if the KC papers had come through yet, if no luck then give the KC a ring xx

Could take longer because of Crufts, but these days registrations are usually back within two weeks.

My last two litters were by return of post (about a week) and the one done online within 4 days.

Thanks for your replies, what i was going to do is call the KC to see if they did arrive? ( Don't no if they will tell me that info) I have the parents kc reg numbers. Then call the breeder.

I don't think there will be an issue getting them , just some thing i want to get sorted!

Thanks Again for your replies

When I registered Solo On-line his papers were back in two days! An exception I think but they should be back in 4 weeks, unless the breeder did not register them until they were sold? Seems a bit odd, I always send my registrations off (On-line admittedly) in the first two weeks, to make sure they are back in time.

My friends have just registered their puppies. One on line and back within a week. The other by paper and back in just over a week.

Hi,
Most of the Kennel Club staff were at Crufts, but that was only for four days.
I took my registration paperwork with me and they did the KC's and Pedigrees in 10 mins. :-)
That has to be a record?

if you have the mothers name i think they can at least tell you if the reg. have been sent in at all, if they have been sent back or if there is a delay for some reason.i know i did that a few years ago but cant remember if they needed the bitch's kc number but i dont think so?
