Just been making an easter bonnet with my daughter and manage to burn my index finger with hot glue from the glue gun.  It went under my nail!  Got a wopper of a blister there now.....very painful!!  The things we do for our kids.

Another time try putting a piece of potato peel on the blister wet side down. I know it sounds like a bit of an old wives tale but have tried this and it really works. I saw them doing this on tv in a clinic in India where medical equipment was very scarce and the doctor there used this method for some quite severe burn blisters.

I was using a flame gun once and put it down when someone spoke to me and, stupidly, didn't switch it off. I reached out for it without looking and took hold of the flame nozzle by mistake and had huge blisters on the palm of my hand and my fingers. I put it in cold water instantly but the pain was dreadful. I put the potato peel on my hand and bandaged it up and next morning there wasn't a blister in sight and you wouldn't have known that I had burnt it at all.

A friend's daughter who has a Saturday job in a chip shop and is always getting various small burns on her arms and hands tried this out as well and now always uses potato peel for minor burns.

Have only ever used it on unbroken blisters though.

Burns are very, very painful so hope the pain eases off soon.
