Hi, With my pug babes I only supplement with milk if it is necessary - usually when the pups are a day or two old, and Mum does not have enough milk, or the pup is in difficulties. Pug pups who are doing well tend to be very plump, but if Mum looks fine and is producing enough milk to keep pups content, then don't worry. Just keep feeding her high quality food, and enjoy the experience of baby pugs. I start weaning my pups at about 4 weeks, but pups who are really enjoying the Mummy milk bar can be a bit slow (as can bottle fed pups, if anyone remembers my struggle with Pipsqueak!)
bye Gwen
