My sweet cavalier, Murphy, isn't a show dog but I'd like him to look like one, but I am having trouble finding someone who can groom him properly. His fur is curling and isn't as shinny- anything I can do? I have heard of dry-coats but not sure where to find them in the US. Also, we just moved and he also seems to be shedding quite a lot. Someone sugested I  use a "Furminator" but not sure if this will damage his coat. Is there a de-shedding tool that I can use safely?
Would love any advise on helping my little guy look his best.
Thanks!

These are something similar ( I use this style on my mine and they come up a treat!)

Perhaps a Mars coat king, size 20? Also brush the coat while you blow dry, that will help it to lie straight - if I let Henry air dry his hair would stick up everywhere!!
