Topic Dog Boards / General / Three dogs in a Travelodge?

I have a Travelodge booked for later in the year when I planned on taking 2 of my dogs with us. Due to circumstances it looks like we will need to take my old dog with us as well - what are people's experiences of getting 3 dogs in a Travelodge? (Apart from sneaking past reception staff or passing dogs through windows!)

I know someone who said they walk the dogs in and out of the travel lodge several times so the staff are confused lol  To be honest I really wonder if the hotel are going to be that bothered - indeed I suspect it will vary from hotel to hotel, depending on the staff. But I have to say I have never stayed at TL with dogs so I hope someone might be able to help.

Sorry i dont quite understand :-)  Is the issue taking all the dogs or just taking 3 instead of 2?
If they are ok about pets then im sure taking 3 instead of 2 wont be an issue. if you're not allowed pets at  all it could be quite tricky getting 3 dogs in there!!!

I've stayed in TL with dogs before, they accept them but they charge £5 per dog per night, all though I've never been charged but I usually check in and bring the bags etc in and then get the dogs!

To be honest I never begrudge Travelodge the £5 or £10 per dog per night they charge as they have always been very accomodating, meeting requests such as a ground floor room and generally making a fuss of the mutts when we arrive.

The maximum is supposed to be 2 dogs per room. Up to now I have always had to pay the £10 a dog rule.

Suppose it depends how big the dogs are and the size of the room. If i was happy with that then i would sneak my dog in. A little bit naughty but as long as you dont do any damage then i cant see the problem.

I have only taken two, but one was a puppy which I was worried about due to not house trained, but we had no choice as our third dog had to go to the vets a long way from us, so we had to stay a few days, we took a crate the puppy was brilliant not one accident, they staff did not charge us for the dogs, and left us a lovely letter wishing our dog who was in the vet hospital well, they could not have been more helpful and accomadating.

We had 3 dogs in one not long ago and they only charged for 2 even though we mentioned a third

We've taken 2 without any trouble, people were passing them in and out of windows though as we were staying the night before a club show! The last few times I've been with a dog, I haven't offered to pay, but have just walked in and out with my dog several times, and nobody has asked for any money!

The Travelodge that I have booked for the Saturday is allowing 3 in my room at £10 for each dog.
