Hi all
What veggies can I safely feed my 17 week pup without giving him the runs? he's fine with carrots ( he has these instead of a bone), green beans and hes also had a few peas and greens without being loose...thanx

This site gives a list of all foods that should not be fed to dogs http://www.peteducation.com/article.cfm?cls=2&cat=1661&articleid=1030 (don't know how to do a link, somebody please help!) As for the age of your pup I would say introduce new food gradually in small quantities then you should not have problems with upset tummies.

Hi pinkbrady, thanx for link- will check it out.

Emma I have been giving him raw carrot since 1 week after we got him, so he was 11 weeks. He had trouble with all foods i tried him on- blood and mucus all the time in his poo. The vet kept giving antibiotics which didnt work! I found Naturediet puppy and fed him that and for the first time - no blood!!! As it had carrot in, I gave him a raw carrot to gnaw on and he loved it and used it like a bone hee hee. I give him one every other day as I don't want him to go off it, but I give cooked carrots and green beans every evening meal with his naturediet. He loves his veg and eats that before his meat...!!! ha ha ha

We were told to freeze carrots for when they are teething, but they love them frozen or not.
