Topic Dog Boards / General / Insurance that pays out on death
- By Goldmali Date 23.02.08 13:12 UTC
I need to insure a pup that is worth £1000 and I need a reliable insurance company that will pay up on the death of the dog from illness or accident (as well as veterinary cover of course) many seem not to do this. PetPlan does but the policy is very expensive; over £28 a month. There are so many companies I can get quotes from, can anyone recommend one that you have personal good experience of?

Sainsburys cover this, they have just changed their policies so may be as much as £1000 now. Not tried to claim yet (will be next month) so can't say if they are any good but I know, after looking, that cover for all death is hard to come by. Plus they weren't dear.

My insurance with More than paid out when i lost my bitch last year! We had to send her Kc REG cert, and proof of what we paid for her! Also they paid out each month on going treatment for her, and covered all vet bills.

I pay £ 10.72 PM

The kennel club does, and has no hesitation in paying up, but premiums are high.
