We have lots of working sheepdog types, and their many crosses.  A couple of staffs, lots of Jack Russels and lurchers. Labradors and goldens are fairly popular, as well as westies . Across the Island breeds vary theres DDB, English Toy Terriers, ridgies, Danes, cresteds,  Finnish Spitz, Dachshunds,  Poodles, Schnauzers, EBTs, Australian Silky's, BMD, Belgian Shepherds , different setters, Leo's, Samoyeds' Sibes, etc. I'm always amazed at the variety of breeds! :-)

im in a village so we see lots of labs/springer/cockers.  There are quite a few springers with tails. There is a man with two huskies I see most days, also a leonberger, a corgi and a few terrier types.  And of course my Setter boys :)

I am in a small village in Cheshire, we have a lot of Border Collies, Black Labs, Cocker Spaniels and various mixed breeds - this includes two Labradoodles :-( We don't see too many Staffies round here but go into any local town and they are spotted frequently. Smoo is the only unusual breed in the village to my knowledge, being a Mal I often get asked about my 'Husky' !! The less popular breeds I see are a Border Terrier, Miniature smooth haired Dachshunds, Cairn Terrier and a Dalmatian. Found this thread really interesting :-)

Just added to say what I forgot in my earlier post; There seems to be alot of chihuahuas appearing in my area that are with/belong to young woman/teenagers. Thanks to the like of Paris Hilton and the like me thinks

We have the only BMD in our village too but so many people will say, OH my friend had one of those, or my friend breeds those.... but where are they?  ;0)
I want to meet them!! :0)
Butler a lot of people will say the same thing to us about him being a St Bernard ~ or LOOK ITS BEETHOVEN....
Everyone loves him though, so thats the main thing.... St Bernard or Whatever...lol

Lots of Spaniels, Boxers & labs where we live.... Our boy has a special Spaniel friend, so cute to see them playing together...

We travel about 15 miles to a dog training class though and usually there are another 4 or 5 Bernese in the class ~ its bedlam!!! (mine is usually causing the mayhem!)

Mainly Staffies, collies, Gsd's, Jack Russell's, shitsu's, rotties, Boxers,  Mongrels. There are some labs not that many though.

couple of dalms, a weim, akita, couple of patterdales, a newfoundland.

And only very rarely do I talk to people, who buy from health tested parents, or kc registered. Unfortunately alot of people go to a popular dog supermarket we have here.

things that might lossely be called staffies in abundance, i saw one last night that i'm sure was crossed with an american bulldog, WAY to long in the leg for a staff and had a more american bully body shape (less defined thigh muscles etc), owners young guys with horrible greasy hair in horrible tracksuits and throwing food at it to catch. very common round here. a few very nice staffies to though (my bf and i rescued a stray one a few months back till his mum and dad got him-he'd escaped from the garden- who was stunning)

apart from that i saw an EBT yesterday. theres a beautiful rough collie around where i live, he's usually out for his night time walk when i get back from my work. there is also an Akita, quite nice looking one. lots of labs/ GSD's- 'pet bred' ones. walking round a corner a few months ago i nearly walked into the most beautiful harliqin great dane, think he was about 9 months to a year ish (my bf had to drag me away lest i try and pinch him from his owner lol).

plenty of crosses

unusual but nice was last summer there was this guy appeared in the town center every day with the most stunning Giant Schnauzer- i guess he must have been visiting cause i;ve never seen him again but it was gorgeous, wonderful movement when he ran etc. i was quite enthralled :)

Our park is riddled with GSDs, staffies & Jack Russell types, and a few Labradors here and there. The funny thing is our local training club is full of Cavaliers and gundogs - springers, cockers & Labs mostly, but they must go to a different park. :-)
