Colloidal silver does it really work? And how do you determine the dosages? Does it have a taste?

I have read stories that sound good on sites that are selling stuff. I would like to hear from folks who are not trying to sell me something :-)

I am on the fourth month of being sick and I need to do something besides take pills for symptoms. It is more of a cold/chest infection so doc can't really do much. It is quite strange as I seem to be over it then the timeof the month comes and I am as loaded as ever. Each month symptoms are a bit different. First it was a chest infection 2 days missed of work, then a cold and chest infection no missed days, then plain old cold....now sinus and sore throat which leads to either head cold or chest cold.

If the silver could work for that and one or two other complaints I would be over the moon....plus I could use it on my dogs. I have an EPI dog who gets lots of cuts during a fit and something to help him heal fast would be super.

Thanks

Haven't used it myself but have given it to the dogs, and used it on cuts, scratches, spots etc. also use it to clean ears when out of epioptic. In fact I have given it to my EPI dog when she is feeling a bit out of sorts, I add it to the water, helps her tum settle down but it does seem to work for lots of things. Even used it on son's acne (told him I was experimenting lol) and it certainly took the redness out and stopped the itchiness and they even dried up quicker than the spot cream he had been using for months.
So I say, try it. It doesn't taste of anything other than water. There are some good internet sites about this.
This one might tell you more

I use it and it certainly heals cuts and scratches quickly and I also put a few drops in the dogs water bowls if they have a dickie tum and it seems to do the trick.

We use it all the time and have recommended it to friends and family.  I get it from here, it's the cheapest I have found http://www.ag4all.co.uk/

I work at a rescue centre...do you think it would be useful for in coming puppies to prevent runny poos and sick tums?  Most of the puppies we get in come down with gastroenteritis at one point sooner or later...usually after deworming.  I would get some for the pups if it would be useful...

Thanks for the advice so far. I am keen to give it a go....and so long as it isn't harmful then there is no harm in trying..

Did just think of a question tho....is it dangerous if some one for instance cant wear silver jewellery?  No me...but question just came into my head..Thanks

I used to get about 3-4 bad colds a year, with chest infections lasting weeks. Now on the odd occasion I get a cold, I take colloidal silver and the symptoms are reduced to about 10% of what they should be and it's gone within about 2 days. The last bad cold I had I got on holiday when I didn't have it with me and I was ill for about 2 weeks, now it goes on holiday with me!

Cor blimey, thios is enlightening. As.... When I went to belgium with the school at 15 there was a big thing about someone being found with cordial silver, and uit being used as drugs!!!!!(must have been just kids talking LOL) And when people have said about putting it on cuts, I assumed it was the only way it is used in small amounts!!!
All these years I thought it shouldnt be ingested, now your all saying it can be :o :o :o LOL
So where do you get it from????
Lea :) :)

I get mine from Holland and Barrett (health food shop) as it's more convenient but there's loads of places online you can get it.

I remember seeing on the net about a man who took too much and turned blue!  Here is a link/pic about it.
