Congratulations! I have started Slimming World again this week, its the only diet I can stick to as I have nil willpower :)  and I find there are lots I can eat on this diet that I dont have to weigh or count. Keep up the good work.

First weigh in today and I lost 2 .1/2 lbs, on the ww core plan, honestly thought I had put on, but no, lost some at least its a start.
- By ClaireyS Date 12.02.08 22:02 UTC
I lost 0.5lb this week, quite disappointed but has made me more determined this week :)
- By Blue Date 12.02.08 22:22 UTC
Well done Irene. I Started Slimming world again.. it;'s a start :-)
- By marguerite [gb] Date 13.02.08 09:58 UTC
Good for you Pam, my weight has crept back  on and I am determined to get it off, walking is hard enough without the extra weight. Hope the pup is shaping up nicely, looking forward to seeing some photos of her.

Dont be disheartened, a loss is a loss. You haven't put any on and you have lost! .5 is better than 0

And 2.5 for the first week ids great too!

Today is my first weigh in, will report here tomorrow.

Oh Claire tell me about it - I can't seem to shift anything - yesterday finally broke from 10st 6lb but only just - I have not been drinking as much wine - eating as many crisps - power walking - keep telling myself its muscle but not so sure!
- By ClaireyS Date 13.02.08 10:40 UTC
It really is the wine that does it, ive been good so far this week (ok so it is only wed !!) went running monday and tuesday morning, gym tonight then running thurs morning and swimming Friday.  This is on top of walking the boys (well they do go running with me).  no wine so far, and have been sticking to my points, got a wedding reception tomorrow so am saving points up for that.

If I dont lose at least 2lb next week im going to cry :(
- By marguerite [gb] Date 13.02.08 12:00 UTC
Clairey

Are you on ww diet, next week after your weigh in try the core plan, you actually eat more on that one and are still allowed 21 points for the week, I only used up 11 of those points last week, and I was eating more than normal, thats why I thought I had put on weight and not lost.

Your food on core plan actually comes to more than pointed food does, daft I know, but it does.  Only thing is you  have to cook everything and not use "ready meals".   I find it harder than some as I am on my own, so only cooking for one person.
- By ClaireyS Date 13.02.08 12:49 UTC
I  had thought about this as we cook everything from scratch anyway (I say we, actually my OH does the cooking!) , someone at work is doing it so am going to see how she gets on.  might be worth a try if only for a week.
- By Dogz Date 14.02.08 12:42 UTC
Yee hah....just got to share this.....5lbs off in a week.

Karen :-)   :-)
- By theemx [gb] Date 14.02.08 15:15 UTC
Not quite so stunning as last weeks 11lb off... but 6lb off this week so I am pleased with that as I havent been quite so angelic with the not cheating thing....
- By marguerite [gb] Date 14.02.08 21:23 UTC
Well done both of your thats a great weight loss for 1 week. Keep it up.
- By Brainless [gb] Date 15.02.08 11:24 UTC Edited 15.02.08 11:37 UTC
Well I can see my scales enough to show I have lost about a stone since the new year.
- By Dogz Date 15.02.08 11:50 UTC
A stone is a lot of weight, I reckon we all need to keep encouraging one another here, it's working well so far!

Karen ;-)
- By Brainless [gb] Date 15.02.08 12:37 UTC
Well it is about 7 weeks so not getting silly.  I am hoping if I can get it off slowly that I can keep it off this time.  So am looking at about a year or so.

I am only back to my 2004 pre WW weight now as I had lost 5 1/2 stone in 8 months (March to Nov 04) but did the all to common thing of gaining it all back plus an extra stone.  I couldn't keep my weight steady right from loosing it, but it was OK for about a year, then I lost two of my girls and got rather down and once I had put on a fair bit it was what the hell.

That is so soul destroying and the usual weight loss pattern for most dieters.

Have an appt with the GP this afternoon and see what they can advise/do for me.
