do any of you that do grooming use an online company to buy things like slicker brush, combs, matt splitters, clippers - or shall I just buy these things from PAH?

I'm not an expert groomer by any stretch of the imagination but the tools I have are a collection of stuff I've picked up at shows and Mikki products from PAH and the like.  I have found the Mikki stuff to be just as serviceable and effective as the things I've got from shows.

For me as well ; simpsons-online,  hub-int and dont forget the marvellous www.dezynadog.co.uk. I guess it depends on the breed whether you use PAH - whether you need dryers and scissors, etc. Oh, and they're all very quick and reliable wth delivery etc.

I'm a bit stuck on clippers - which ones to go for - at this stage its just to use on my own dogs - cavaliers - but on the course I just did I used a 10f blade and a 7?  I'm looking on the dezyna dog site and they have ranging from £30 - £200 quid - any recommendations?

Someone on e-bay with a shop is selling Moxer Max 45s for less that £100 I have 2 pairs love them.  Bought the switch blades recently but prefer the moser max ones.   Light and easy to use.

The technogroom people up in Scotland (sorry don't have the link, but googling will find it) are extremely informative about clippers.  Bobby Murphy persuaded me to try Laubes years ago, and I love them!  The mini micros are light enough not to be a problem for my hands (small hands and arthritis) and cut as well if not better than my old Osters.  They often do great deals, part exchanges etc, and usually have Crufts special offers.  As previously posted, Hub Int. are great, they seem to have the widest choice of brushes, slickers etc I have foudn in the UK, as well as a great range of coat care products.  And Richard at Kennelshop has a great range of scissors if you are looking for the high quality kind.

My breeder recommended Andis - and she was right , they are good, they're light and quiet and reliable, but they're also the only clippers I've had so far! :-)

Diamond Edge is worth a browse too.

on the subject of online dog stuff www.vetmedic.co.uk is good for worming, frontline,etc.
really cheap and no postage for orders over 10.00.
