Has anyone ever rehomed an older malamute ? If so what were the ups and downs of doing so ?

Yes, I rehomed Tika at 4 years old and I also looked after Malamute Rescue for two years. How many ups and downs do you want? :-D

It might be easier on people to PM me and I'll answer any specific questions you have ;-) There are so many variables, the dog, the circumstances, the environment that a blanket "go for it" could be disastrous!

Not too sure if the timing is right , will think it over first. But when someone offers you one it kind of makes you try to make the time right ... if you know what i mean ...

You will know by instinct if its the right time or not mate, dont you worry! :)
We knew it was the right time for us to get our dog, and shes been causing havoc ever since! lol In the best possible way of course ;)

Just want to thank this forum and its members . I know it gets a bit of stick sometimes about how some ppl reply but i have had nothing but good advice from here ... and i think it should be pointed out that ppl on here do want to help and not just slate others . This site is a good info source for all dogowners  ( and cats , chickens and other pets  or human 's   lol ) .. Ppl on here just love their dogs and will help if they can ... Ta   champdogs and its members ...
